Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how AeroPrompt ("the Extension") handles your data. Because of the way the Extension is architected, this policy is very short.

The Short Version
AeroPrompt stores all of your data locally on your device. We do not collect, monitor, track, or transmit any of your personal information, promps, or browsing history to any servers.

1. Data Collection & Storage

AeroPrompt saves the following data locally on your device using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

This data is never transmitted to us or any third party. It remains exclusively on your physical hardware.

2. Host Permissions & Execution

AeroPrompt requests host permissions for chatgpt.com, claude.ai, and gemini.google.com. This permission is exclusively used to interact with the DOM to inject your compiled prompt payload directly into the active chat window boxes.

We do not track which domains you visit, how often you use these AI tools, or what prompts you inject.

3. Authentication

If you enable "App Lock", AeroPrompt requests access to WebAuthn / Biometric capabilities through the browser's native security APIs. We do not receive, capture, or store your actual fingerprint, facial map, or system password. The authentication challenge is handled entirely by your Operating System.

4. Analytics and Tracking

AeroPrompt does not include any third-party analytics scripts (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel). We do not track usage, clicks, active times, or monitor crash reports.

5. Data Deletion

Because your data is stored locally, you have total control over it. You can delete individual prompts, export them to a JSON file to delete the cache safely, or completely uninstall the extension. Uninstalling AeroPrompt securely wipes all associated extension local storage instantly from your browser.

6. Changes to this Policy

If we ever introduce a feature that requires off-device processing (such as a highly requested Cloud Sync feature), we will update this policy and explicitly ask for your permission before any such features are activated.
